ERBIL - The Iraqi security forces on Tuesday managed to kill five Islamic State (IS) suicide bombers in the province of Salahaddin.

Dadhil Abu Raghif, an Iraqi security expert, wrote on Twitter that the security forces in cooperations with Salahaddin Intelligence Service were able to ambush the jihadists who had planned for terrorist activities in the city.

He further pointed out that four of the militants were killed during the military campaign while one of the attempted to escape before he was found him and shot him dead.

This comes only hours after Iraq's counter-terrorism unit killed four Islamic State insurgents during an operation in Diyala province.
