Kurdistan Repatriates over 130 Citizens Stranded in Armenia amid Coronavirus Restrictions
ERBIL — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Friday brought back home a large group of citizens who had been stuck in Armenia.

KRG’s Department of Foreign Relations (DFR) said that the group of 133 people were stranded abroad due to the flight restrictions amid the coronavirus outbreak.

In coordination with Iraq’s ministry of foreign relations, the DFR organized a special flight to repatriate its citizens.

The arrivals were mainly Kurdish students who study at universities in Armenia.

They were put under a 14-day quarantine upon their arrival as part of KRG’s measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
