ERBIL - At least one more death case from the coronavirus was confirmed in Kurdistan Region's Sulaimaniya province on Saturday evening.

According to a statement by The General Directorate of Health in Sulaimaniya, one person died and medical tests indicated that the victim had been infected with COVID-19.

The age and gender of the victim were not immediately mentioned in the statement.

This was the third death case to have been registered in the Kurdistan Region since the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the health ministry said in a statement that it had detected ten new infections in the region, including six in the capital Erbil, one in Sulaimaniya, and three in Halabja provinces.

The total number of people tested for the novel virus in the Kurdistan Region is now 123, out of which three patients lost their lives and 74 others have fully recovered.
