ERBIL — Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) health ministry said late on Thursday that they had detected another carrier of COVID-19.

According to statement from the ministry, 56-year-old woman in Sulaymaniyah tested positive for the new coronavirus.

Her husband had already been diagnosed with the virus.

This final case brings the total number in Kurdistan Region up to 104.

Meanwhile, deputy head of health directorate of Sulaymaniyah announced that another 12 hospitalized patients have recovered.

Herish Saleem told BasNews that the 12 patients took a careful test which proved that they no longer carry the virus.

According to the latest updates, 39 people have so far recovered. The death toll remains at two.
