ERBIL — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held a phone conversation on Tuesday with US Assistant Treasury Secretary for Terrorism Financing Marshall Billingslea to discuss a range of issues, including the relations between Erbil and Washington, as well as the ongoing coronavirus challenges.

A readout of the phone conversation revealed that the Kurdish PM and the US assistant secretary talked about the ways Washington can help Erbil with its effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Prime Minister Barzani also updated the Assistant Secretary in details about the domestic reform agenda that the KRG continues to implement, as well discussed ways to increase US investment in, and trade with, the Kurdistan Region, according to the readout.
