ERBIL - The Iraqi government has taken extensive measures against the outbreak of coronavirus in the country, reducing the working hours at public offices.

As part of the new measures, public servants, excluding those working in health and security sectors, will be working half of the normal workdays, according to media reports.

Meanwhile, the government has also decided that no people are allowed to visit Iraq from coronavirus-hit countries to ensure that the new coronavirus will not further spread in the region.

The new measures came after two people died of coronavirus in Baghdad while 36 are so far found infected with the novel virus in the country.
