ERBIL — The Iraqi parliament will hold a session on Thursday, 27th February, to vote on the new cabinet proposed by Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Allawi.

“Lawmakers will vote to give confidence to the new government, with the Prime Minister-designate sending the ministerial curriculum and CVs for the candidates ahead of the schedule,” reads a statement by the parliament.

The session is set to begin at 13:00 (Baghdad Time).

Allawi is facing multiple challenges and pressure from both political factions and the public to form the government. He has proposed 22 nominees for a complete lineup of his incoming cabinet.
