KRG Received Over 20,000 Syrian Refugees Since October
ERBIL - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has so far received more than 20,000 refugees from Syria since October, when Turkey began an offensive against the Kurdish forces in the neighboring country.

The Joint Crisis Cooperation Center (JCC) of the KRG said in a statement on Thursday that at least 267 refugees were received through the border crossing of Sihela this week.

"They all sheltered in Bardarash Camp," reads the statement, referring to one of the major camps in the Kurdistan Region where nearly 1.8 million IDPs and Syrian refugees have been hosted since 2014.

The press release also explained that a total of 20,207 refugees have so far arrived in the Kurdistan Region in the past four months.
