KRG Invites Poland to Invest in Kurdistan Agriculture Sector
ERBIL — A ministerial delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is in Warsaw to explore areas of potential cooperation in Kurdistan’s agriculture sector.

Bagard Talabani, KRG’s Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, held a meeting with Szymon Stanisław Giżyński, Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Warsaw on Wednesday.

BasNews reporter from Warsaw said Minister Talabani expressed KRG’s willingness to benefit from the Polish experience in developing its agriculture sector, therefore, they have prepared a roadmap to establish a close partnership with the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Head of KRG’s Board of Investment Mohammed Shukri, who accompanies Minister Talabani in the trip, said during the meeting that they are facilitating the procedures for foreign investments as it has been highlighted in the agenda of the 9th cabinet of the KRG.

Giżyński welcomed developing a close cooperation and partnership with the KRG and asked for a detailed and comprehensive plan of action by the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting was attended by KRG representative to Poland Ziad Raoof and Iraqi ambassador to Poland together with several other officials from Kurdistan Region.
