ERBIL - A bomb explosion on Monday resulted in the wounding of three Iraqi military personnel in the disputed Kurdish town of Tuz Khurmatu.

The incident reportedly took place in the village of Hilewa, west of Tuz Khurmatu, according to the information BasNews has obtained.

At least one military commander and two of his bodyguards were severaly injured in the bomb attack.

No sides or terrorist organizations have yet claimed responsibility for the incident, but the Islamic State (IS) is highly suspected to have been behind it.
