Mother of First Fallen Iraqi Protester Sends a Message to Barzani
Mohammed Habib Saedi was killed as the first protester in Baghdad soon after the protests in the capital city turned violent in October this year.
Saedi’s mother sent a video message in which she explains that her only son left three “ill sisters” while demanding his basic rights.
She thanked Barzani for his initiative through the Barzani Charity Foundation to assist the families of the fallen protesters, blaming the Iraqi authorities for failing to rule the country and meet people’s legitimate demands.
“Look at Barzani and how he has developed Erbil, and see what Baghdad looks like,” she said.
