ERBIL — Official websites for four ministries of the Iraqi government were shut down after a cyberattack.

Unknown hackers interrupted the access to the websites of Oil Ministry, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Education on Wednesday.

Previously amid the months-long protests in Iraq, a cyberattack had targeted the official website of the federal government of Iraq.

The official Facebook page of Counter Terrorism had also been hacked last month by an unidentified group who had pledged a military coup in the country.
