ERBIL - At least five members of the Islamic State (IS) were captured in the Iraqi province of Mosul, Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The five jihadists were arrested by the Nineveh police forces after receiving accurate intelligence information from the residents, the statement explained.

According to the press release, the militants were captured in the neighborhoods of al-Bakir, Zahra, Quds, and Nahra.

The arrests come while the jihadist group has already regrouped itself in the majority of liberated areas.
