ERBIL - Kurdish prominent leader and former president of the Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, has offered condolences after several Kurdish people were killed in a blast at a wedding party in Iran's Saqiz.

Overnight on Thursday, a gas cylinder went off in the hall's kitchen and killed over a dozen of people, among whom were women and children.

Meanwhile, nearly 100 others were injured, according to the information BasNews has learned.

Barzani sent his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a quick recovery to the wounded.
