PM Barzani Opens Seventh Erbil International Real Estate and Investment Exhibition
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani officially opened the Seventh International Real Estate and Investment Exhibition in Erbil on Wednesday, with nearly 300 local and international companies from 12 countries taking part in the four-day event.
Held at Sami Abdul Rahman Park and organized by Invest Expo Company with the support of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Board of Investment, the exhibition brings together real estate developers, investors, property companies and buyers from across the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and abroad.
In a post on X following the opening, Prime Minister Barzani said he had opened the Erbil International Fair for Real Estate and Investment, highlighting the participation of 300 companies and emphasizing the Region's continued openness to investment despite ongoing regional challenges.
“Despite the challenges facing the region, Kurdistan continues to grow and remains open to investors,” Barzani said.
The event is expected to provide visitors and investors with access to special offers and discounts, while encouraging activity in the property market and supporting home ownership for families across the Region.
Organizers say the strong participation of domestic and international companies demonstrates continued interest in the Kurdistan Region's investment potential. The exhibition also comes as the Region seeks to strengthen its position as a destination for long-term investment amid wider political and economic uncertainty in the region.
Real estate remains one of the Kurdistan Region's most active economic sectors. Available statistics indicate that more than 70,000 real estate offices operate across the Region, including around 7,500 in Erbil, with hundreds of property transactions reportedly taking place every day.
The four-day exhibition is expected to attract large numbers of citizens, investors and business representatives, further highlighting Erbil's growing role as a regional center for real estate development and investment.
