Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, who also serves as Deputy President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), received Mohammed al-Halbousi and an accompanying delegation in Erbil to discuss political developments and ways to enhance cooperation between their respective political forces.

During the meeting, the two leaders underscored the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation among Iraq's political parties to address the country's ongoing challenges and preserve the foundations of its democratic system.

They emphasized the need for greater political dialogue and collaboration among Iraq's political actors to confront the diverse issues and challenges facing the country through constructive partnership and mutual understanding.

Barzani and al-Halbousi also reaffirmed the importance of safeguarding Iraq's federal democratic system and expressed their support for the federal government in protecting the constitutional rights of all components of Iraqi society. They stressed that all Iraqi citizens should receive public services in a fair and equitable manner, free from discrimination.
