PM Masrour Barzani Reaffirms KRG Commitment to Fighting Corruption in Meeting with Integrity Commission Chief
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Sunday received Ahmed Anwar, Head of the Kurdistan Region Integrity Commission, to review the Commission's recent activities and discuss efforts to strengthen anti-corruption measures across the Region.
During the meeting, Ahmed Anwar presented an overview of the Integrity Commission's work and achievements over the past period. The discussions focused on the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation among the Kurdistan Region's relevant institutions to combat corruption more effectively and prevent the misuse and waste of public resources.
Prime Minister Barzani reaffirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government's commitment to tackling corruption in all its forms. He also reiterated the Government's readiness to provide the Integrity Commission with all necessary support, facilitation, and institutional coordination to reinforce ongoing efforts aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and the protection of public funds.
The meeting underscored the KRG's stated commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation as part of its broader strategy to address corruption and safeguard public resources.
