Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani received Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), for talks on the latest political and security developments in Syria and the wider region.

The meeting focused on the current situation in Syria, the conditions facing Kurds and other communities across the country, and ongoing efforts to address outstanding issues through dialogue and cooperation. Discussions also covered initiatives aimed at fostering understanding among Kurdish political parties and strengthening coordination with Damascus.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation to preserve stability and promote peace throughout the region. They also underscored the need to combat terrorism and enhance coordination among relevant parties to safeguard security and maintain regional stability.
