Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region Masrour Barzani received the Consul General of the Republic of Korea to the Kurdistan Region, Seongcheol Lim, on Monday, May 11, 2026, on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in the Region.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the South Korean diplomat in strengthening relations and friendship between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Korea. He also praised the continued support and cooperation extended by South Korea, both government and people, to the Kurdistan Region.

For his part, Consul General Lim commended the reconstruction, development, and reform agenda pursued by the Kurdistan Regional Government across various sectors. He also expressed his personal attachment to the Region, stating, “Kurdistan will always remain in my heart.”
