Fazil Mirani Congratulates Gulan Magazine on 32nd Anniversary
On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the publication of Gulan magazine, Fazil Mirani, Head of the Administrative Board of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, sent a congratulatory message to Farhad Muhammad, Editor-in-Chief of Gulan, and the magazine’s editorial board and staff.
In his message, Mirani praised Gulan for its role in the development of Kurdish journalism over the past three decades, noting that since its launch 32 years ago—first as a modern and unconventional newspaper and later as a comprehensive magazine—it has become a trusted platform for readers.
He highlighted that throughout its different phases, Gulan has consistently met the expectations of its readership and respected their intelligence, while providing a platform for writers, intellectuals, and academics from Kurdistan to present their ideas.
Mirani also emphasized that the magazine has served as a gateway for introducing Kurdish readers to the views and analyses of international writers and scholars from various countries. Although the magazine’s core message remains political, he noted that it has continued to expand into other fields such as social issues, arts, sports, and general cultural topics.
In addition, he commended the magazine’s continuous development in printing quality and design, stating that Gulan has established a distinctive journalistic identity through both its content and presentation.
Mirani further praised the magazine for its respect for readers and its commitment to balanced and responsible analysis from both Kurdish and broader humanistic perspectives.
Concluding his message, he congratulated the editorial team and staff of Gulan on the magazine’s 32nd anniversary and wished them continued success and progress.
