Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today spoke by telephone with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

They discussed developments in the region, particularly in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the UAE, and reaffirmed the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the United Arab Emirates to navigate the region’s conflicts.

Both sides condemned the attack that targeted the UAE Consulate General in Erbil last night, and stressed that such attacks are unacceptable and will not deter the Kurdistan Region from continuing to provide a safe and secure environment for diplomatic missions.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for the KRG’s cooperation, and both sides emphasized the importance of supporting de-escalation efforts and safeguarding stability in the region.
