Barzani Charity Foundation Delivers Wide-Scale Humanitarian Aid to Western Kurdistan
The Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) has delivered extensive humanitarian assistance to displaced families and public institutions in Western Kurdistan (northeastern Syria), according to its sixth operational report covering activities up to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
At a press conference held on Friday, BCF President Musa Ahmad said the foundation mobilized 255 trucks and 478 workers to transport and distribute relief supplies across the region as part of an ongoing emergency response campaign.
According to the report, humanitarian assistance reached 7,475 families, while 160 schools and nine mosques benefited from various support programs. Fuel assistance formed a major component of the operation, with 241,632 liters of diesel distributed to 6,850 refugee families. In addition, 178 schools and 10 mosques received fuel supplies to support heating and essential services.
Food assistance was also provided, with 25,589 hot meals distributed across 69 schools and five mosques serving displaced communities.
Healthcare services were expanded during the reporting period, as BCF medical teams provided examinations and treatment to 3,541 individuals. Medical services were delivered in 47 schools across several areas, according to the foundation.
The reported figures reflect BCF’s cumulative humanitarian activities carried out between January 22 and January 29, highlighting continued efforts to support displaced populations and public institutions amid ongoing humanitarian challenges in Western Kurdistan.
