Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, held talks on Sunday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at Al-Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing regional security and stability.

President El-Sisi welcomed Barzani’s visit, expressing Egypt’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the Kurdistan Region and expanding relations across political, economic, and developmental fields.

Barzani, in turn, praised Egypt’s pivotal role in promoting security and stability in the Middle East under El-Sisi’s leadership, highlighting Cairo’s consistent support for peaceful coexistence and regional balance.

The discussions emphasized the importance of boosting ties between the Kurdistan Region and Egypt, particularly in investment and trade, as part of efforts to advance mutual interests and economic cooperation.

Both leaders agreed to continue close coordination and joint efforts to safeguard security and stability in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the wider region, underscoring the need for sustained cooperation in the face of shared challenges.
