President Masoud Barzani, along with the entire staff of the Barzani Headquarters, participated on Thursday, 20 November 2025, in the online voting campaign supporting the fans of Zakho Sports Club for the Best Fans in the World award.

This marks a historic moment, as it is the first time in the history of Asian and Iraqi football that Zakho SC has been nominated as the first club eligible to win FIFA’s global award for the Best Fan Base of 2025.

The initiative represents a call to all Kurds and Kurdistanis around the world to take part in the voting process, available through the official website of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). Supporters are encouraged to contribute to this significant opportunity to highlight and honor the passion and loyalty of Zakho’s fan community on an international stage.
