President Barzani emphasized that “the cause of the Kurdish nation stands above all else,” noting that sustained engagement with the Kurdish diaspora forms an essential part of this national strategy. He highlighted the significant influence of the Kurdish Diaspora Confederation, describing its contributions abroad—particularly in scientific and academic fields—as “notable and prominent.”
During the meeting, President Barzani also reflected on the history of the Kurdish liberation movement and the enduring resilience of the Kurdish people in safeguarding their identity and resisting oppression. He underscored Kurdistan’s longstanding role as a peaceful and welcoming region for all faiths and communities, stressing that this culture of coexistence must be preserved.
Addressing current challenges, President Barzani warned of the growing threat of narcotics in the Kurdistan Region, stating that hostile actors are attempting to spread them through organized plans and networks. He called for a firm and coordinated response to counter this danger. He also reviewed ongoing service-related initiatives of the Kurdistan Regional Government, including progress in water, electricity, and road infrastructure.
President Barzani reaffirmed his support for the peace process in Turkey, emphasizing the importance of collective Kurdish efforts to secure broader international backing for the Kurdish people's just cause.
