President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed Kurdish politician and former mayor of Diyarbakir, Mr. Osman Baydemir.

Their discussions focused on the peace process in Türkiye. Both sides emphasized the significance of ensuring the success of the peace process and noted that achieving peace in Türkiye would positively influence the region. President Nechirvan Barzani highlighted the necessity of seizing the opportunity for peace and urged collective efforts toward its success.

Mr. Baydemir expressed his gratitude to President Nechirvan Barzani for his contributions to the peace process and encouraged him to persist in his endeavors.

The meeting also addressed the Iraqi parliamentary elections and the current situation in Syria.
