ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Construction on the Shiladze Corniche project in Amedi is steadily advancing, with 65% of the work already completed. The project, which carries a budget exceeding 4 billion Iraqi dinars, is expected to be finalized within 610 days.

Stretching over one kilometer, the Corniche is designed to become a modern recreational destination, featuring a dam, restaurant, cafeteria, fountain, service facilities, children’s playground, gardens, and lighting systems.

The Shiladze Corniche is among dozens of tourism projects launched by the Ninth Cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). The initiative aims to boost the tourism sector, provide new leisure spaces for residents and visitors, and diversify the region’s sources of revenue.
