Erbil, Kurdistan Region – A state-of-the-art Kidney Disease Center for Dialysis and Transplantation has officially opened in Duhok Governorate, marking a major advancement in healthcare services for the region.

Constructed at a cost of $15 million, the new facility is equipped with 60 beds and features the latest medical technology. The center is expected to provide over 300,000 kidney dialysis sessions for patients with kidney failure within the next five years, significantly improving treatment accessibility.

The opening underscores the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ninth Cabinet commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and patient care. Officials emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize the health sector and ensure high-quality medical services for citizens.

This center is set to alleviate the burden on existing healthcare facilities and offer life-saving treatments to thousands of patients suffering from kidney-related diseases.
