International Federation of the Kurdish Language to Provide Free Textbooks for Kurdish Schools Across Europe

Erbil, Kurdistan Region – In a landmark initiative to support Kurdish language education abroad, the International Federation of the Kurdish Language (IFKL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), has announced the distribution of free Kurdish-language textbooks to schools and educational institutions across Europe.

Dual Dialects, Dual Scripts

The textbooks will be available in both Sorani and Kurmanji dialects, written in both Arabic (Sorani) and Latin scripts, ensuring accessibility for all Kurdish students regardless of their linguistic background. This effort aims to strengthen Kurdish language education and preserve cultural identity among the diaspora.

Full Financial and Logistical Support

The IFKL has taken full responsibility for printing and shipping costs, ensuring that schools receive the books before the upcoming academic year. The federation emphasizes its commitment to supporting teachers and students by removing financial barriers to Kurdish-language education.

Call for Registration

The IFKL urges all Kurdish schools, teachers, and educational organizations in Europe, the U.S., and Canada to register as soon as possible to receive the textbooks. Schools are encouraged to contact the federation directly to confirm their needs and ensure timely delivery.

A National and Cultural Duty

"Protecting and promoting Kurdish language education in all its forms is our sacred duty," stated a representative of the IFKL. "The Kurdish language is the foundation of our identity—today and for future generations."
