At the seventh Baghdad International Dialogue Conference on Sunday, Bafel Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), praised Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani for the successful launch of the MyAccount initiative, highlighting its significance for the region.

During his speech, Talabani expressed his gratitude to Barzani, stating, "Thanks to Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the MyAccount initiative and Tawtin are progressing very well." He emphasized the positive impact of these projects and their importance for the Kurdistan Region.

Talabani also shared details about his recent discussions with Prime Minister Barzani, revealing that they had met prior to his trip to the United States. Their talks covered a range of topics, including the MyAccount initiative. Talabani noted that he had posed questions to Barzani about the project and was impressed with the Prime Minister's responses.

In a further development, Talabani disclosed that Barzani had dispatched a specialized team to Sulaimani to conduct a detailed review of the MyAccount initiative. The team, working alongside legal and financial experts, is assessing the initiative's alignment with the Tawtin project. Talabani praised this collaborative effort, underscoring the shared commitment to the success of both initiatives.

When asked by Kurdistan24 reporter Dilan Barzan about the formation of the tenth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Talabani expressed optimism regarding the ongoing negotiations between the PUK and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). He expressed hope that the talks would continue in a positive and constructive manner, ultimately leading to a successful outcome for the region.

The KDP and PUK held a key meeting in Sulaimani on Saturday to discuss political cooperation and the mechanisms for forming the KRG's tenth cabinet. The discussions are seen as a critical step toward ensuring stability and progress in the Kurdistan Region.
