Kurdistan Tourism Authority Announces Upcoming Autumn Festival with International and Local Participation

The Kurdistan Tourism Authority revealed its plans to host an Autumn Festival next month, featuring the active participation of various international and local tourism companies. This announcement comes as part of the region's broader tourism strategy and its commitment to showcasing the natural beauty and cultural diversity of Kurdistan.

According to an official statement released by the authority, the festival is set to take place in mid-November, organized in collaboration with the Jood Center for Development and Vocational Training. The festival aims to create a platform for tourism companies, food processing facilities, hotels, and restaurants, both foreign and local, to showcase their offerings and attractions.

Ibrahim Abdul Majeed, the spokesperson for the Kurdistan Tourism Authority, shared his insights on the event, stating, "The center proposed the involvement of international and local tourism companies, as well as food processing factories, hotels, and restaurants. Visitors, including locals and tourists, will have the opportunity to explore and experience these offerings."

This Autumn Festival is part of the region's comprehensive tourism plan, featuring 15 distinct types of tourism initiatives, unveiled by the authority in recent times. Additionally, it aligns with the implementation of a three-year tourism plan, signaling the region's commitment to promoting tourism, fostering collaboration, and enhancing the overall tourism experience.

Mr. Abdul Majeed emphasized the significance of this event, saying, "The festival is a crucial step in introducing the rich tapestry of the region's tourism landscape. Kurdistan boasts some of the most picturesque and culturally vibrant tourist destinations, and the festival provides a unique opportunity for companies to connect and establish partnerships in the tourism sector."
