Two towers for transmitting electric power detonated with explosive devices in southeast of Mosul
On Friday, a security source revealed that two towers for transmitting electric power were detonated with explosive devices in the "Debaga" of Makhmour district, southeast of Mosul, the local capital of Nineveh Governorate.
According to the source, the explosion of the two towers caused a power outage in the Debaga district, indicating that the explosion occurred late Thursday evening.
The source added that sabotage operations targeting power towers have recently increased in a number of governorates, causing a decline in electricity supply hours in light of the sharp rise in temperatures with the advent of summer.
