ERBIL — Twenty-two COVID-19 patients succumbed to the virus within the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 2,913, Kurdistan Region’s health ministry said on Wednesday.

In its daily report, the ministry also confirmed 576 new infections, with the majority being in Duhok.

A total number of 91,480 COVID-19 cases have so far been recorded in Kurdistan, from which over 56,000 have recovered.

As of November 18, nearly 32,300 active cases remain under treatment, according to the latest updates.
