ERBIL - Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers to discuss the progress of the implementation of his cabinet's reform agenda.

During the meeting, also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, officials reviewed a report "produced by the High-Level Reforms Committee covering the implementation progress of the 2020 Reform Law over the past three months, as well as recommendations for next steps as the Kurdistan Regional Government carries out further reforms in all sectors," Barzani's office said in a statement.

"The report is due to be tabled in the parliament for debate."

According to the statement, the cabinet members, in the meantime, tasked the Finance and Economy Ministry to align the public sector payroll's timeline with the Iraqi government's timetable for the disbursement of Erbil's share from the monthly budget.
