KRG Says 12 Graders to Begin In-person Classes this Month
Speaking to reporters, Alan Hama Said, the Minister of Education, noted that the first and second graders will also start in-person classes on October 10.
As for the remaining grades, they will begin the new school year virtually, he explained.
All students are required to adhere to the health ministry's guidelines so as to help the government better curb the spread of coronavirus.
This comes as the daily number of coronavirus cases in the Kurdistan Region continues to rise. The health ministry on Thursday announced 591 new infections of COVID-19.
The Kurdistan Region has so far recorded a total of 34,821 cases of coronavirus, out of which 1,289 patients died.
