ERBIL — Two separate bombings have killed and injured at least four civilians in the villages near Hawija, south west of Kirkuk.

An improvised explosive device went off on Sunday morning in the center of Nuishin village and left at least one woman killed.

Two other civilians were injured in the same blast, media reports said.

Elsewhere in al-Majed village, on the outskirt of Riyadh subdistrict, another IED bombing injured a man.

The bombings are believed to have been carried out by the remaining Islamic State militants in the area. However, no one was captured after today’s explosions.
