ERBIL — Kurdish prominent leader and the president of ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, received the newly appointed US Consul General Rob Waller on Saturday.

During the meeting, Barzani and Waller exchanged views on the latest political developments in Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

“We spoke of the latest developments in Kurdistan and Iraq, both politically and insofar as the COVID-19 crisis is concerned,” the Kurdish leader wrote on Twitter.

He also wished Waller a successful tenure while in Kurdistan.
