Korea to Continue Infrastructure Projects in Kurdistan: Envoy
ERBIL — The Republic of Korea will continue fostering its relations with the Kurdistan Region via helping more infrastructural projects, said, Choi Kwang-Jin, Korean Consul in Erbil.

The remarks were made during the opening ceremony for Khabat Steam Power Station near Erbil on Tuesday, which was attended by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and several other senior Kurdish officials.

Korea helped the implementation of the giant project which is expected to increase electricity supply at least 10%.

Choi reiterated that his country is committed to friendly relations with the Kurds and it hopes to further strengthen ties with Erbil through partnership in different sectors.
