ERBIL - A US military logistics convoy came under attack near Iraq' Muthanna province on Saturday evening, a source said.

The incident reportedly occurred in an area between the cities of Diwannia and Samawa where three US military logistics vehicles were attacked, a source told BasNews.

Other reports explained that it took place at around 10:00 pm (local time) and that a suspected remote-controlled VBIED targeted the three vehicles.

"The drivers were Iraqi nationals who were taken out [from their trucks] and burned their vehicles," the source noted.

It was not immediately clear which group or terrorist organization was behind the incident with no claims of responsibility yet.
