ERBIL - A healthcare worker in Sulaimaniya province died from the new coronavirus on Monday evening, an official confirmed.

Speaking to BasNews, Hawzhin Othman, head of the Medical Syndicate in Sulaimaniya, pointed out that Kawsar Taha lost her life at a hospital earlier this evening.

Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Health on Monday reported 299 new infections with coronavirus with eight deaths that had been recorded over the past day.

The Kurdistan Region has so far registered a total of 4,164 coronavirus cases with 1,408 recoveries and 118 deaths since early March.
