KRG Delivers Aid to 200,000 Families Struggling with Coronavirus Economic Challenges
ERBIL — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is delivering food baskets and other aids to nearly 200,000 families in need of help while struggling with the economic challenges brought by the coronavirus pandemic.



Arian Ahmad, a spokesperson for the KRG’s Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, told BasNews that 60,000 families in Erbil province, 60,000 in Duhok, 50,000 in Sulaymaniyah, 12,000 in Raparrin Administration, and 8,000 others in Garmiyan Administration will benefit from the aids.



A campaign, coordinated by several ministries, is underway now to record the families, Ahmad said, adding that large packages of necessary food supplies would be delivered once the record is finalized.
