KRG Delegation to Brief Kurdistan Parliament on Latests Negotiations with Baghdad
The KRG delegation visited Baghdad last week after the official nomination of Mustafa al-Kadhimi as Iraq’s new prime minister-designate. It discussed a range of issues on top of which came the budget and oil disputes as well as the territories disputed between Erbil and Baghdad.
MP Omed Khoshnaw, from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), told BasNews that the KRG delegation will update on Sunday the heads of the parliamentary blocs about the discussions in Baghdad.
Kurdistan political leadership, including the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), has already expressed support for Kadhimi to form the new government of Iraq provided that he would respect the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region.
