ERBIL — With six people infected in the past 24 hours, the total number of coronavirus cases in Kurdistan Region has reached 128, said the health ministry.

COVID-19 Centers tested 544 people in the provinces of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Duhok, detecting six coronavirus carriers.

Three people tested positive in Erbil, one in Sulaymaniyah, and two in Duhok, the health ministry said in a statement.

Two of the new infected people in Erbil are foreigner who were held in quarantine on their arrival. Their nationality remains unrevealed.

Two patients reportedly recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of the recoveries to 55.

Death toll from COVID-19 remains steady at two, the ministry added.
