ERBIL - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) confirmed on Saturday evening a new case of the coronavirus in Sulaimaniya province.

KRG's Ministry of Health said that a 37-year-old man in Sangasar district of Sulaimaniya province was found to be infected with COVID-19 on Saturday.

The victim has not traveled abroad before, the ministry further elaborated

He was working at a gas station in Sangasar, it added.

This brought the total number of infections with the coronavirus across the Kurdistan Region to 48, one patient died and 13 others fully recovered from the virus.
