Erbil, Sulaymaniyah Impose 48-Hour Coronavirus Curfew
ERBIL — Kurdistan Region’s Interior Ministry imposed a 48-hour curfew on the cities of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah to contain the coronavirus spread.

The ministry said in a statement that the curfew decision will go into effect at 12:00 midnight on Friday.

“People are required to stay in their homes so our teams will fulfill their tasks. For any suspected case of coronavirus, people should contact 122 hotline and await for our teams to arrive,” reads the statement.

The ministry also put Erbil and Sulaymaniyah task forces on alert, including all hospitals and health centers.

Arrivals will be put in quarantine if their documents shows their visit to the following countries within the past 30 days: Belgium, Hungary, Croatia, Denmark, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, France, Greece, Albani, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Czech, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Spain, Sweden, Bosnia, UK, Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Austria, and Switzerland.
