ERBIL — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Thursday visited a hospital in Erbil to personally inspect the precautionary measures against the outbreak of new coronavirus.

Following the visit, PM Barzani told reporters that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) spares no efforts in taking all the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

He also thanked the health ministry for the preparations and stated that hospitals have been prepared in every city of Kurdistan Region despite the fact that there has been no confirmed coronavirus case yet.

The prime minister of Kurdistan Region reminded that there are growing numbers of infected people in Iraq and Iran, therefore, hospitals and people themselves are required to follow instructions issued by the health and interior ministries.
