Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Arrives in Erbil
ERBIL — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, arrived in Erbil on Wednesday morning.

Bogdanov was received by Safin Dizayee, head of Kurdistan Region’s Department of Foreign Affairs and a group of department officials.

The Russian diplomat will expectedly hold separate meetings with Masoud Barzani, the prominent Kurdish leader and president of ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party, Nechirvan Barzani, Kurdistan President, and Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region.

Bogdanov’s two-day visit to Erbil will end without visiting Baghdad.

He is expected to discuss bilateral ties between Erbil and Moscow, as well as regional developments before holding a press conference later on Thursday.
