ERBIL — Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Municipality and Tourism officially signed documents to permit the construction of a compound for the Chinese consulate general in Erbil.

The permission was signed by a ministry director general and Ni Ruchi, the consul general of China.

Minister Sasan Awni was present at the ceremony.

The new consulate compound will be built on Erbil-Pirmam road in the capital city of Kurdistan Region.

There are a total of 21 foreign consulate generals, eight consulates, consular offices, and embassy offices with nine other honorary consulates and foreign trade offices.
