A shootout between police and Kurdish guards in a disputed city in the country's north has killed one civilian and wounded 10 others, Kurdish senior official said.

The spokesman of Peshmerga Ministry from Kurdistan Regional Government, Lt. Jabar Yawar said that the fighting happened in a car queue for petrol.

Four policemen were also wounded in Friday's shooting in Tuz Khormato which is about 210 kilometers (130 miles) north of Baghdad.

Tuz Khormato is a mix of Arabs, Kurds and Turkmen.
