Norwegian Premier League side Kolbotn IL have announced the signing of Swedish Kurdish midfielder Ronya Osman, marking the first time in her career that she will play outside Sweden.

The 20-year-old joins Kolbotn as part of the club’s efforts to strengthen its squad ahead of the upcoming season, with a particular focus on adding depth and creativity to the midfield. The move reflects Kolbotn’s broader strategy of investing in promising young talent as they prepare for the challenges of Norway’s top flight.

Speaking in a statement released by the club, Osman expressed enthusiasm about the new chapter in her career.

Ronya Osman Sofi grew up in Linkoping and has gained extensive experience in Swedish football. She previously featured for BK Derby, Stangbro United, and Linkoping, developing her skills across multiple competitive levels in Sweden. Her move to Norway represents her first professional experience abroad.

Kolbotn officials said the signing underscores the club’s commitment to building a dynamic and competitive squad capable of meeting the demands of the new campaign.
